The type of personal information we collect

  • Information about your contact with us e.g. emails or other correspondence you might send us.
  • Information that is collected via cookies or other similar technologies when you visit the site. You can find out more about this on our cookie notice page.
  • You may scan a QR code to reach the training site. Please note that we use a third-party vendor to provide our QR codes, who may conduct their own analysis of code usage. We also monitor QR code performance, but you cannot be identified from this data.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

The personal information we process is supplied directly by you so we can provide you with a training course, or to respond to any correspondence you send us.

Under data protection laws, the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information is performance of a contract.

Data sharing

We work with trusted partners to help us deliver the courses and manage and maintain this website. This includes monitoring registration and course enrolment, progression, completion and assessment scores, if relevant.

Our partners act solely on our instructions and will only use your information for the purposes set out above, making sure that your information remains protected as required under data protection laws.

We’ll also disclose information where strictly necessary to comply with our legal obligations, including where:

  • the law, a regulatory body or authority, or the public interest requires it.
  • it’s required by us or others to detect, investigate or prevent crime or fraud.

How we store your personal information

Your information is stored securely in a UK-based server.

If you register on this website but don’t enrol on any courses, we’ll keep your personal data for six months after which time it will be securely deleted and you’ll have to re-register in the future. If you enrol in or complete a course, your access will remain in place for 12 months after course completion or your last activity on the course. After this time, your access will be revoked, personal data securely deleted, and you’ll have to re-register for further courses.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • The right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal data.
  • The right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal data you think is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • In certain circumstances, you have the right to ask us to erase your personal data, restrict its processing, object to its processing, or to have it transferred to another organisation.
